So what is this? People. But is it more than that? People working independently do not work like services. But, maybe that's not quite the best way to put it. People will always work independently. However, it is the direction that they work in that matters. People working independently with a completely random or independent direction from any other team members direction will not make a significant impact. Most great strides forward throughout history, whether they be political, scientific, athletic or otherwise have a team behind them. This team may not be what we think of in the traditional sense, however, there is a thread of commonality toward a goal that pulls things together and in this regard there may be an applicability of apply the theories and methodologies of SOA to people, groups and companies to improve the effectiveness of how people work, produce and interact.
